Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Lead Licensed Practical Nurse (Lead LPN) to coordinate clinical flow and supervise LPNs and CMAs at our New Jersey facilities. This role drives daily operations, quality patient care, and staff development in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The Lead LPN will organize staffing, lead huddles, train personnel, and ensure compliance with policies and CLIA requirements while partnering with department leadership to manage budgets and resources.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.

• Dedication to ongoing education.
• Ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care with patient focus; excellent customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
• 5 years LPN experience in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Schedules clinical staff to optimize patient service and workflow.
• Lead Daily Clinical Huddles.
• Make recommendations to QA to ensure quality clinical care.
• Assist with training of LPNs and CMAs on related services.
• Assist staff proficiency and competency in required tests.
• Orient LPN and MA staff on monitoring equipment and upgrades.
• Ensure equipment and logbooks are up to date; place work orders.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
• Consult with department manager to resolve patient/physician complaints.
• Participate in budgeting with the department manager.
• Delegate responsibilities to develop staff potential.
• Identify patient population needs and tailor care accordingly.
• Adhere to organizational competencies.
• Maintain policies on medical waste, CLIA waivers, renewals, and training.
