Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• One or more years of nursing experience.
• Must maintain a current state practical nursing licensure.
• BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required.
• Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles to provide safe patient care.
• Strong clinical, human relations, and motivational skills.
• Leadership qualities are required.
• Basic computer/keyboard skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of operating health testing equipment and standard office devices.

Responsabilités

• Directs daily operation of unit staff and trains new hires.
• Acts as liaison between department supervisor and staff.
• Provides input into employee performance appraisals.
• Administers procedures and medications per policy.
• Triages patients and resolves issues using clinic protocols.
• Prepares patients for tests, examinations, or treatment.
• Assists physician with diagnostics or procedures and performs routine tests.
• Responds to emergencies under supervision.
• Documents patient health data in EMR.
• Instructs patients on home or self-care procedures.
• Provides basic patient counseling on disease management.
• Advocates for patients and protects confidentiality.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
