Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of an RN or supervisor, and to participate in the patient care team according to the care plan. You will demonstrate excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration, with flex hours and day shifts.

A current LPN license and graduation from an accredited practical nursing program are required, with preference for recent LPN experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards; one year of LPN experience may be required if not recent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing preferred.
• One year LPN experience within the last five years preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills required; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients under direct supervision of the RN or supervisor.
• Collect data through observation and communicate information to assist in assessment and care planning.
• Participate as a member of the health care team and follow the patient care plan and policies.
