Job summary

ViaQuest is seeking a Lead LPN for full-time work in Ohio. Some travel is required as part of the role.

The position involves administering medications and treatments to individuals with developmental disabilities in our facilities, monitoring responses, and coordinating care with the team. Ideal candidates are graduates of accredited LPN programs, licensed as LPNs, with strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Licensed as an LPN.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Supervisory or management experience may be preferred.
• Demonstrates strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to individuals and monitor response; notify MD as needed.
• Administer treatments (topical, ear, eye, enemas, tube feedings) and monitor effectiveness.
• Assess and monitor health status including vital signs.
• Follow through on health-related concerns in a timely manner.
• Ensure medication/treatment supplies and carts are secured when unattended.
• Use nursing judgment to assess conditions and initiate care/treatment.
• Document administration of medications and MAR/TAR, narcotic counts, etc.
• Oversee proper administration by employees (delegated nursing).
• Complete entries in nursing notes by end of shift.
