Job summary

ViaQuest, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for a full-time role in our healthcare facilities serving individuals with developmental disabilities. You will administer medications, monitor responses, and coordinate with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care.

The position features travel as needed, competitive hourly pay of $29–$30, comprehensive benefits, paid training, and opportunities for supervisory responsibilities for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program and licensed as LPN.
• Experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Supervisory or management experience may be preferred.
• Displays strong communication skills and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to individuals and monitor response; notify MD as needed.
• Administer treatments (topical, ear, eye, enemas, tube feedings) and monitor effectiveness.
• Assess health status, including vital signs.
• Follow up on health concerns relayed by the team in a timely manner.
• Ensure unattended medication/treatment supplies/carts are locked and secured.
• Document administration of medications; MAR/TAR; narcotic counts; nursing notes.
• Oversee delegated nursing and ensure end-of-shift entries are completed.
