Job summary

Decom Services seeks a Lead Low Voltage Technician to manage on-site installation, decommissioning, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems in Austin, TX. The role involves reading plans, pulling/terminating cables, mounting equipment, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The candidate will lead field crews, coordinate tasks, and communicate with project managers and clients about timelines and site conditions, while maintaining tools and documentation of the work performed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in low voltage systems including installation, termination, and testing of network, A/V, and related cabling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and job plans.
• Experience leading field crews and coordinating daily work with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, decommissioning, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems.
• Read and interpret plans, pull and terminate cables, mount and set up equipment.
• Perform testing and certification to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate small field teams, assign tasks, monitor progress, and communicate with PMs/clients.
