Job summary

Kids for the Future seeks a Level III Service & Support Technician to lead advanced maintenance and troubleshooting of low voltage and detention systems. You will supervise junior technicians, coordinate field work with the Field Supervisor, and deliver high-quality service on complex projects in security environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years in low voltage, electrical, or IT field service with supervisory experience.
• Advanced expertise in CCTV, access control, intercom, video visitation, and related systems.
• Proficiency in networking concepts, device configuration, and system programming.
• Knowledge of mechanical lock systems and detention equipment.
• OSHA-30 certification required or obtainable on hire.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of integrated systems beyond Level I/II scope.
• Service and maintain CCTV, access control, intercom, video visitation, duress, cabling, fiber optics, and detention locking systems.
• Execute system upgrades, repairs, and minor installations as directed.
• Assist with system programming, configuration, and network connectivity.
• Provide on-site technical guidance to junior technicians.
• Assist Field Supervisor with task execution and field coordination.
• Lead small crews or tasks when assigned, ensuring efficient completion.
• Be a go-to resource for troubleshooting in the field.
• Ensure work meets standards, codes, and project specs (electrical, building, OSHA).
• Maintain detailed documentation of designs, procedures, service, and maintenance.
