Job summary

ProSource Buying Group seeks a Low Voltage Systems Technician to install, terminate, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems for residential and commercial projects. You will support network, audio, video, CCTV, security, and control systems on active high-end sites, collaborating with installation teams and project leads to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient work.

The role involves working with teams on rough-in through final setup, reading plans, and following specifications while

Qualifications

• Experience installing and terminating low voltage cabling.
• Ability to troubleshoot wiring, device, and system issues.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and project specifications.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install low voltage cabling for networks, audio, video, CCTV, security, and control systems.
• Install system hardware, devices, equipment racks, cameras, speakers, access points, control panels, security devices, and related components.
• Assist with configuration and setup of network, audio, video, CCTV, security, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot system issues related to cabling, terminations, hardware, connectivity, programming, and system performance.
• Work with team members, project managers, designers, and other trades to complete installations according to project requirements.
• Read and follow plans, wiring diagrams, installation instructions, and project specifications.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas on job sites.
• Test completed work to verify proper operation and quality.
• Communicate job progress, issues, and material needs to supervisors or project leads.
• Follow company standards, safety practices, and applicable codes for low voltage installations.
• Terminate low voltage cables, including network, audio, video, CCTV, security, and control system wiring.
