Job summary

Manatal is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Access Control Lead Technician for long- and short-term projects in the Scranton, PA area. The role emphasizes leading small project teams, installing CCTV, access control, and related low-voltage systems while ensuring high-quality work and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CAT5e/fiber cabling, understands blueprints, and can travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as a Low Voltage Cable Technician with CAT5e, fiber, and network cabling experience.
• Experience with CCTV, security, and alarm systems preferred.
• Certifications (BICSI, Siemon, Panduit, Belden, Corning) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage cabling infrastructures.
• Install IP cameras and access control hardware.
• Run cabling in commercial buildings including drilling through walls.
• Keep cables neatly labeled and bundled per safety standards.
• Install cable supports like j-hooks and innerduct.
• Test systems to ensure operation and safety compliance.
• Troubleshoot network cabling issues to ensure performance.
• Lead small teams with daily direction and quality oversight.
• Provide regular progress updates to project management.
