Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Mitigation Underwriter Team Lead to manage escalated matters and mentor junior staff. The role includes training, oversight, and reporting while ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.

The target pay range is $30.00–$33.00 per hour. Based in Montpelier, VT, you will handle escalations, assist with pipeline work, and develop a team through coaching and SME guidance.

Qualifications

• Five (5) plus years of underwriting experience in loss mitigation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to escalated issues from both internal and external sources.
• Assist with pipeline assignments.
• Analyze, distribute and/or prepare reports, track account workflows and provide results to management.
• Monitor performance and provide additional training to junior level staff as needed.
• Assist with training new hires.
• Perform supervisory responsibilities as needed for relief assignments in the absence of Supervisor.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for department with the knowledge and ability to make decisions and/or provide direction on challenging files.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
