Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory is looking for an experienced engineer to design advanced integrated networked fires systems for defense. You'll work on multi-modal sensing, data fusion, and long-range weapon technologies to contribute to combat systems across various domains.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years experience, a relevant BS degree, proficiency in MATLAB, and an active Top Secret security clearance. A robust benefits package, including education assistance and retirement contributions, is offered.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in complex systems engineering, integration, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or similar programming languages for algorithm development.
  • Experience with advanced kill chain analysis and integrated fire control concepts.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop concepts for integrating new sensors and weapons.
  • Define interface requirements and information exchanges between systems.
  • Analyze combat and weapon system functionality regarding network integration.
  • Lead engineering development with external mission partners.
