Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design, deployment and optimization of automation in our transportation and warehousing operations. You will specify and integrate robotics, conveyors, sortation, and control systems, develop PLC and WCS logic, and use data to improve throughput, accuracy and safety.

You’ll partner with operations, IT and vendors to deliver new sites and retrofits, manage projects from concept through go-live, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading automation design in logistics or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of robotics, conveyors and sortation systems.
• Proven ability to develop and deploy PLC/WCS logic and integrate automation controls.
