Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design, deployment and optimization of automation in our transportation and warehousing operations. You will specify and integrate robotics, conveyors, sortation, and control systems, develop PLC and WCS logic, and use data to improve throughput, accuracy and safety.

You’ll partner with operations, IT and vendors to deliver new sites and retrofits, manage projects from concept through go-live, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering with automation focus or related field.
Experience designing and deploying automated systems in logistics is preferred.
Strong PLC programming and control-system development skills.

Responsibilities

Lead design, deployment and optimization of automation in warehousing and transport.
