Job description

The Lead Logistics Analyst will oversee subcontractor support and manage the development of key deliverables, including the Comprehensive Engineering Drawings for Provisioning (EDFP) and the Logistics Plan. This role ensures that all documentation is compliant with government standards and supports Shield AI's operational objectives . The Lead Logistics Analyst will coordinate with subcontractors, internal teams, and Shield AI to manage workflows, ensure deliverable quality, and maintain transparency in processes.

Responsibilities

EDFP Development and Oversight:

  • Manage the creation of a comprehensive EDFP, ensuring compliance with DID DI-SESS-81874 and GEIA-STD-0007 standards.
  • Coordinate with Shield AI to gather existing drawings and identify additional documentation requirements.
  • Oversee subcontractors' contributions to the EDFP, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project goals.
  • Provide technical oversight to ensure all drawings include:
  • Item identification, including dimensions, materials, and technical specifications.
  • Maintenance support considerations to enable system lifecycle sustainment.
  • Standardization and interchangeability analysis for cost and supply chain efficiency.
  • Data necessary for National Stock Number (NSN) assignment and cataloging.
  • Entry control and management coding for logistics integration.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive Logistics Plan aimed at achieving required Operational Availability (AO).
  • Detail tasks and methodologies to optimize maintenance, supply chain management, and support infrastructure.
  • Integrate existing frameworks and documentation provided by Shield AI into the final plan.
  • Ensure the Logistics Plan supports efficient system operations while minimizing downtime.

Subcontractor Coordination:

  • Identify and engage subcontractors for specific portions of the EDFP and Logistics Plan.
  • Negotiate subcontractor pricing, manage scope changes, and ensure alignment with Shield AI and government requirements.
  • Maintain transparency by coordinating with Shield AI on subcontractor responsibilities, compensation, and deliverables.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all deliverables meet applicable government standards and align with program objectives .
  • Conduct reviews to verify accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GEIA-STD-0007 and other relevant standards.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Provide regular updates to Shield AI and internal stakeholders on deliverable progress, subcontractor performance, and any risks or issues.
  • Collaborate with program managers and technical teams to address challenges and ensure timely delivery of all requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Program Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics analysis, subcontractor management, or government documentation development, preferably within defense programs.
  • Strong understanding of government standards, including DID DI-SESS-81874, GEIA-STD-0007, and other logistics documentation requirements.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating deliverables within a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tools used for technical documentation and logistics management, such as AutoCAD, Visio, and MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with government logistics systems and processes, including NSN assignment and lifecycle sustainment planning.

Work Environment and Conditions

This is a hybrid position, with occasional travel required to Shield AI or subcontractor facilities for coordination, reviews, and assessments. The role involves managing multiple priorities and deliverables in a dynamic environment while maintaining a focus on compliance and quality.
