FlyLock Security Solutions - East Atlanta is seeking a Lead Locksmith Technician to join our on-site team. This hands-on role focuses on installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and residential hardware and access control systems.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of locksmithing or related field experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in locksmithing or access control.
• Strong communication skills and client relations.

• Comfort with driving and company vehicle policy.
• Capable of reading diagrams and following instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and routine locksmithing for commercial and residential clients.
• Install, repair, and maintain hardware and access control systems.
• Create and maintain master key systems and perform re-keying and pinning.
• Read plans, diagrams, and schedules; perform troubleshooting and basic math.
• Prepare reports and communicate effectively with customers.

Key Areas of Responsibility

The Lead Locksmith Technician position is an integral part of FlyLock Security Solutions and is key to the growth of the company. All Lead Locksmiths must have the ability to work well in a high-paced working environment. The individual must work well as part of the team and independently from the FlyLock owner. The Lead Locksmith position is a hands-on technical position geared for an individual who has a technical mind-set. Ideal candidates will have locksmithing knowledge and demonstrate the ability to learn new technical methods and techniques.

Responsibilities

Performs emergency work orders for commercial clients. Installs, repairs, and maintains commercial and residential hardware. Installs, repairs, and maintains access control hardware (safe and card access experience a huge plus). Modifies lock hardware. Creates and maintains master key systems. Performs residential and commercial lock re-keying and pinning. Interprets written, diagram, or schedule instructions. Troubleshoots across a variety of situations. Cleans, maintains, adjusts, calibrates, and services equipment. Reads operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Writes simple correspondence. Presents information effectively to customers and commercial clients. Performs basic math across all units of measure. Cuts keys by code.

Operations Support

Receives verbal instructions from management or clients/customers. Performs small projects as directed by management. Completes and submits paperwork accurately and on time.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

Minimum of 2 years' hands-on technical field experience in locksmithing, access control, door hardware, or other skilled trades. Strong relationship-building skills with customers, partners, technicians, and coworkers. Good verbal and written communication. Able to manage multiple functions at once with good organizational skills. Able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Able to work safely on ladders. Able to drive in compliance with company vehicle policy. Provides timely, accurate customer service and responds to general customer inquiries.

Physical Requirements

Must fluently understand, speak, and write English. Able to push/pull/lift at least 50 lbs. Able to kneel, crouch, and stoop. Able to reach above and below shoulders. Able to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull. Able to climb a ladder and work above ground. Able to withstand external weather conditions year-round.
