University of Houston is seeking a locksmith supervisor for the Central Facility Services department. The role leads staff engaged in maintenance, repair, and installation of door hardware, keys, and locks, with emphasis on security and access integrity for university infrastructure.
The position involves directing shop operations, training staff, and performing locksmith duties as needed, including support during emergencies and weather events.

Under general direction from a supervisor, this role leads employees engaged in the maintenance, repair, and installation of door hardware, keys, and locks. In accordance with the State of Texas Executive Order No. GA‑48, the position involves research, work, or access to critical infrastructure and requires maintaining the security or integrity of university infrastructure. Routine reviews determine if criminal history or connections to foreign adversaries would prevent the employee from maintaining this security.
High School Diploma or GED required. Department is willing to accept education in lieu of experience. Minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience required. Valid Texas driver's license required. All positions at the University of Houston‑System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check. Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and simple mathematical functions such as percentages and ratios, as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Education verification will be conducted upon acceptance of an employment offer.
