Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking an experienced Lead Locate Technician to supervise and organize locate technicians, ensuring precise underground utility identification. The role emphasizes project management, mentoring, and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Clean background check for access to restricted and/or controlled areas.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass random drug screens and to remain drug free.
• Computer literate and able to locate.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance in locate operations and investigations.
• Perform damage investigations and audits, including field safety audits.

Stake Center Locating is recruiting experienced Locate Technicians to become a Lead Locate Technician on our team. The optimal candidate will have the responsibility of aiding supervising and organizing the tasks of locate technicians as instructed to guarantee precise and efficient identification of underground utilities. In the role of Lead Locate Technician you will be pivotal in project management, mentoring team members and ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance

• Conduct audits including Field Safety Audits
• Execute ride alongs with crew members
• Team Management
• Manage ticket distribution
• Upkeep of vehicles issues and maintenance
• Manage equipment and supplies including issues and distribution
• Manage recruitment to team

• Provide mentorship and guidance to locate technicians
• Foster positivity and safety among crew members
• Help with difficult locates
• Conduct crew meetings and reporting

Qualifications
