Job summary

Stake Center Locating in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Lead Locate Technician to oversee field crews, mentor teammates and ensure safe, accurate underground utility locating. You will coordinate tasks, manage equipment and drive project efficiency across sites.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, teamwork and a proven ability to perform damage investigations, QA audits and client-facing support while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean background check for access to restricted and/or controlled areas.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass random drug screens and to remain drug free.
• Ability to locate.
• Ability to perform a PDR or damage investigation.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

Stake Center Locating is recruiting experienced Locate Technicians to become Lead Locate Technicians on our team.

The optimal candidate will have the responsibility of aiding, supervising, and organizing the tasks of locate technicians as instructed to guarantee precise and efficient identification of underground utilities. In the role of Lead Locate Technician, you will be pivotal in project management, mentoring team members, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
