Job summary

Village Media is seeking five Editors to launch and lead our footprint in Wisconsin communities (Appleton, Fond du Lac, Kaukauna, Manitowoc, Sheboygan). As Editor, you drive the editorial strategy and shape daily coverage reflecting local life.

You will serve as lead reporter, strategist and mentor, ensuring the digital town square remains the trusted, independent source for local information and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in newsroom leadership and impartial reporting.
• Commitment to independent, fact-based storytelling and ethics.
• Strong understanding of digital publishing and audience analytics.
• Ability to mentor journalists and grow skills.
• Willingness to immerse in Western/Central Pennsylvania community contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide editorial direction to reporters with a mix of breaking news, features, and impactful reporting reflecting local life.
• Uphold factual accuracy, nonpartisan reporting, and trust in the digital town square.
