Mike Morse Law Firm in Michigan is seeking a Lead Litigation Attorney to serve as a Pod Leader. You will manage a litigation team, maximize client recovery, and uphold the firm’s gold‑standard service.

This role emphasizes mentorship, courtroom advocacy, and strategic case leadership across high‑stakes personal injury matters. The attorney will oversee pleadings, motions, discovery, and trials while maintaining client communication.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.
• Experience leading a team of attorneys or litigation support staff.
• Track record of successful settlements and/or trial verdicts.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and support your assigned litigation pod (attorneys, legal assistants, and other team members).
• Prepare and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and case documentation to ensure legal excellence and readiness.
• Represent clients at all necessary proceedings — including depositions, case evaluations, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Strategically manage cases from intake to resolution, always aiming to maximize client outcomes.
• Direct, review, and approve the work of pod members to ensure quality and alignment with firm standards.
• Maintain proactive, empathetic, and professional communication with clients throughout the life of each case.

At Mike Morse Law Firm, Michigan’s largest plaintiff personal injury firm, we’re looking for a seasoned, confident, and strategic Lead Litigation Attorney to serve as a Pod Leader. In this role, you will manage a litigation team, maximize client recovery, and ensure we continue delivering the gold‑standard legal service our clients deserve.

This position is ideal for someone who not only knows the law but thrives in mentorship, leadership, and courtroom advocacy. We’re building a law firm that sets the standard — and we’re looking for team members who do the same.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and support your assigned litigation pod (attorneys, legal assistants, and other team members).
• Prepare and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and case documentation to ensure legal excellence and readiness.
• Represent clients at all necessary proceedings — including depositions, case evaluations, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Strategically manage cases from intake to resolution, always aiming to maximize client outcomes.
• Direct, review, and approve the work of pod members to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with firm standards.
• Maintain proactive, empathetic, and professional communication with clients throughout the life of each case.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with clients, staff, and opposing counsel.
• In‑depth knowledge of Michigan No‑Fault Law, Michigan Court Rules, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and Rules of Evidence.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high‑volume case dockets effectively while maintaining quality.
• Persuasive and strategic thinker with strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Culturally aware, emotionally intelligent, and committed to excellence in service and outcomes.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of attorneys or litigation support staff.
• Track record of successful settlements and/or trial verdicts.
• Comfortable with case management software and modern legal tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
