Job summary

Buckfire Law in Southfield, MI is seeking an Experienced Litigation Attorney to manage significant personal injury matters through litigation and resolution. As a Litigation Attorney, you will develop case strategy, conduct and defend depositions, draft and argue motions, prepare briefs and pleadings, and coordinate with experts and clients to prepare matters for trial.

The Role

As a Litigation Attorney, you will manage significant personal injury matters through litigation and resolution. You will develop case strategy, conduct and defend depositions, draft and argue motions, prepare briefs and pleadings, conduct legal research and case evaluations, participate in mediations and court proceedings, negotiate settlements, work with expert witnesses, communicate directly with clients, and prepare matters for trial.

You will work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, experts, and firm leadership while maintaining ownership of your cases and strategy.

What We’re Looking For

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Michigan and in good standing. We are looking for significant civil litigation experience, strong deposition and motion-practice skills, excellent research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy abilities, and the ability to independently manage complex matters.

Personal injury experience, including third-party automobile and first-party No-Fault litigation, is strongly preferred. Trial experience is also strongly preferred.
