Job summary

SST Direct is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor for our Wichita, KS facility. You will lead a multi-department team, ensure safety, quality, and on-time production, and drive continuous improvement.

The role offers a direct-hire opportunity with a $56K-$61K salary, first and second shifts (3AM–1:30PM and 12:30PM–9:30PM), and a comprehensive benefits package. Prior manufacturing leadership experience and Spanish bilingual ability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Be able to stand up to 10 hours a day.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to work on production floor.
• Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements including bending, twisting, and pulling.
• Management skills to organize and direct oneself and effectively train others.
• Accountability and ability to own actions.
• Accuracy in performing tasks.
• Oral communication in a clear, effective manner.
• Written communication clearly and concisely.
• Ability to develop others and provide training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple departments and diverse production operators.
• Ensure employees are at assigned work areas at shift start and workloads are sufficient.
• Maintain even, timely workflow through production floor/soil sort.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and meet quality standards.
• Ensure accuracy through production and quality metrics and indicators.
• Enforce company policies and supervise production duties.
• Provide training and follow-up to ensure proper performance.
• Provide daily/weekly coaching to improve effectiveness.
• Collaborate with HR on hiring and training needs.
