Job summary

Electra Grid Solutions is seeking a Distribution Overhead Foreman in Louisiana, USA. The role leads crews performing construction, installation, and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with project specs.

The Foreman serves as the main liaison between field crews and project management, promoting accountability and performance excellence on-site.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in overhead distribution line work.
Valid Class A CDL required.
First Aid, CPR, and Pole Top Rescue certifications required.
Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug, alcohol, background, MVR, and clearinghouse checks.
Must pass DOT physical examination.

Responsibilities

Supervise Linemen, Apprentices, and Groundmen on overhead distribution projects.
Promote and enforce safety protocols, policies, and regulations.
Read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and scopes of work.
Coordinate material usage, job logistics, and equipment needs.
Supervise gloving and hot work on voltages up to 40 kV.
Lead setup and operation of material handlers, digger trucks, and wire pulling equipment.
Oversee installation of poles, anchors, transformers, and conductors.
Complete accurate as-built documentation and job reporting.
Troubleshoot outages and direct emergency restoration work as needed.
