Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a skilled cook to prepare and cook dishes according to memorized standard recipes in a fast-paced casino kitchen in Las Vegas. You will monitor food production to ensure quality and maintain inventory of station and order stock, ensuring proper rotation and waste control.

The role requires at least two years of cook experience, the ability to stand for long shifts, and the capacity to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a cook.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
• Other physical requirements include reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, and twisting at the waist.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare and/or delegate food orders for a specific type of cuisine according to memorized standard recipes.
• Coordinate orders for pick-up.
• Maintain cleanliness of work station and storage areas at all times.
• Control waste by monitoring proper rotation, storage, and quantity control.
• Maintain inventory of station and order stock to maintain pars.
• Consistently apply established safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist in training and coaching of Specialty Line Cooks.
