Job summary

The Huntington Theatre Company in Boston, MA seeks a Lighting and Projections Supervisor to lead its lighting and projections department for productions and events at The HAT and Calderwood Pavilion. Qualifications

• BA/BS in Lighting Design, Technical Production, or equivalent professional experience.
• Must have knowledge of theatrical production requirements and rigging.
• Familiarity with ETC consoles, DMX systems, and related lighting technology.
• Budgeting experience and ability to lead a team.
• Experience mentoring staff and coordinating across departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the production staff's primary contact with lighting and projections designers.
• Direct supervisor of full-time and overhire lighting staff; mentor and train staff.
• Manage production and maintenance budgets for lighting and projections.
• Coordinate purchasing and installation planning for lighting systems.
• Maintain artistic integrity of lighting designs and ensure safety standards.
• Collaborate with stage management to meet Equity guidelines.
• Coordinate schedules with other departments and communicate plans.
• Staff scheduling and staffing across venues and events.
• Oversee subcontractors and projection technicians as needed.
• Ensure equipment safety and lead maintenance initiatives.
