Job summary

The Montrose Recreation District in Colorado is seeking a Head Guard responsible for managing aquatic operations and supporting the Recreation Coordinator. The Head Guard will ensure safety and quality programming while directly interfacing with patrons for excellent customer service.

The position requires a minimum of one year of lifeguarding experience and strong leadership skills. The salary range is $18.05–$27.08/hr, depending on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have swimming proficiency, including various swimming techniques.
• Strong leadership and management skills are required.
• Must be able to perform rescues and handle pool chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing aquatic facilities and programs.
• Enforce aquatic facility policies and regulations.
