Job summary

The City of Medford is hiring two full-time Supervising Lifeguards to lead a high-performing aquatics team and deliver safe, welcoming programs. You will guide staff, mentor lifeguards, and help shape a positive guest experience while ensuring safety and excellent service.

Ideal candidates bring leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to safety, plus relevant lifeguarding certification and supervisory experience in a recreation setting.

Qualifications

• Two seasons lifeguarding experience in a formal recreation setting.
• Two years of progressively responsible aquatics program and/or lifeguard experience with lead/work supervision.
• Leadership, communication, and safety-focused mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifeguard staff and mentor the team.
• Support staff development and deliver aquatics programs.
• Ensure safety, service, and team success with sound judgment and strong communication.
