The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Lead Lifeguard at the Kroc Center Hawaii to oversee lifeguard teams and ensure safe operations of the aquatic facility.
You will mentor staff, enforce safety protocols, and participate in in-service training while delivering excellent guest service.

The Lead Lifeguard is responsible for the health and safety of members and guests in attendance at the Aquatic facility, carry out rescues as required, and are also responsible for the cleanliness of the aquatic facility. They also guide and mentor the lifeguard and pool attendant teams. The Kroc Center Hawaii Lead Lifeguard will have a deep commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army, which will be evident in his or her professional life and the manner in which he or she represents The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in the community.
Any equivalent combination of training and/or education in lieu of work experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.
The position requires sitting; climbing and/or balancing; stooping, kneeling, bending, stretching, crouching and/or crawling; standing; walking; manual dexterity and eye‑hand coordination; use of vision; driving a vehicle; pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying 50‑75 pounds and occasionally more than 75 pounds. This employee may also be required to work weekends and evenings.
The position involves communicating with co‑workers, clients, and vendors through spoken and written messages, as well as via telephone and the latest technologies. It also entails responding to requests, providing training and instructions, composing written language, reading, and potentially working at different work sites. The position requires the ability to interact with co‑workers and the public in a positive, professional manner in conformity with The Salvation Army Mission Statement. The position also requires the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
