Job summary

Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Lead Lifeguard to assist the Aquatics Supervisor with management of the aquatics programming for a busy members-only environment. The Lead Lifeguard will help with preparation, planning and implementation of special events, perform lifeguard duties as needed, and enforce all pool rules and safety guidelines.

This role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean pool environment and delivering excellent member and guest service.

Qualifications

• Active lifeguard certification through the American Red Cross.
• Availability to work weekends & holidays.
• 1-2 years prior experience as a Lead Lifeguard.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide lifesaving emergency rescue and ensure pool safety by enforcing rules.
• Maintain clean towels inventory and coordinate laundry.
• Ensure chairs and tables are cleaned daily and shared spaces are well-kept.
• Assist Aquatics Supervisor with planning and events as needed.

The LeadGuard will assistwith preparation, planning and implementation of special events as well asperformthe lifeguard or swim instructor duties as needed and will maintainconstant surveillance of the pool area. The lead guard will know, understandand consistently applyand enforcesafety and pool rules, policies and guidelines.

This position's primary responsibility is to maintain and to ensure a safe and clean environment for the enjoyment of our club members and their guests. In achieving this goal, remember that appearances are everything. The manner in which the pool grounds are operated and maintained on a daily basis is a direct reflection on the Club.

To be considered for this position, you must have previous supervisory experience, an outgoing personality, excellent communicationand outstanding customer service skills. We prefer candidates to be CPR/AED certified &must have a active lifeguard certification.Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Provide members and guests with lifesaving emergency rescue in case of accident or medical emergency.
• Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of all members and guests by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
• Maintain inventory of clean towels and coordinate laundry department.
• All chairs and tables are to be cleaned daily, particularly in the most frequently used areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Active lifeguard certification through the American Red Cross
• Availability to work weekends & holidays
• Prefer certificationin CPR & AED
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• 1-2 years prior experience as a Lead Lifeguard, required
• Previous supervisory experience, required
