Job summary

WithumSmith+Brown, PC in New Jersey is seeking a Life Sciences Audit Supervisor to lead audit engagements from planning through completion. Based in East Brunswick, Whippany, or Princeton offices, you will supervise staff, mentor juniors, and ensure high-quality deliverables for clients in the life sciences sector.

You'll collaborate with partners and seniors to resolve issues, manage staffing and budgets, and provide exceptional client service while upholding firm standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA license preferred.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with leadership of multiple engagements and supervision of staff.
• Experience auditing life sciences and SEC companies preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills.
• Excellent client service and communication skills; ability to manage multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team from planning to completion of audits, reviews or compilations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork and reporting.
• Provide supervision to staff, seniors and supervisors and mentor others.
• Collaborate with seniors or partners on issue resolution and guidance on regulatory/accounting matters.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet client deadlines and budgets.
• Contribute to professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
