Job summary

FusionIRX seeks a Commissioning Life Safety Engineer – Lead SME to provide technical leadership over life safety systems commissioning for a major semiconductor fabrication project. You will oversee planning, testing, FAT/SAT, and coordination across multiple contractors and disciplines.

The role requires 10+ years in life safety engineering, deep NFPA/IBC/IFC knowledge, and strong communication and mentorship skills to guide commissioning teams toward successful project turnover.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in life safety engineering, construction, commissioning, testing, or startup.
• Lead Engineer/SME on large-scale industrial or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and life safety integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities for life safety systems across the facility.
• Oversee FAT/SAT and IST, verify system interlocks and communications.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire protection teams.
