Lochmueller Group is seeking a Licensed Professional Surveyor (PS) to lead and support survey operations on small to mid-sized Indiana projects. This role blends technical work, client interaction, and mentorship across field and office settings.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Surveyor (PS) in Indiana or able to obtain licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying or equivalent with education and experience.
• Experience in boundary, topographic, and construction surveying.
• Proficiency in GPS survey methods and data processing.
• Proficient with survey equipment: total stations, GPS receivers, levels.
• CAD proficiency: AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of Indiana survey laws, regulations, and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication; mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead survey crews on boundary, route, topographic, and staking tasks.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee diverse field survey tasks.
• Perform pre-survey planning, GPS planning, data processing, QA/QC.
• Oversee daily crew assignments and project scheduling.
• Ensure proper survey techniques, safety, and quality standards.
• Research public records and prepare boundary descriptions and reports.
• Prepare data for CAD handoff and draft survey drawings.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and officials.
• Mentor junior staff and guide project teams.
