Job summary

Embassy of Scranton is seeking an LPN/LVN to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. You will ensure adherence to state and local standards and participate in care planning, charting, and coordination with other departments.

The role requires current LPN/LVN licensure, strong clinical skills, and the ability to lead a nursing team within a long-term care facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in this state.
• Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• English language literacy and ability to follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and ensure compliance with facility policies.
• Complete and maintain medical records, charting, orders, and documentation per procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician and verify resident identity.
• Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff; participate in performance evaluations and staffing.
• Assist in planning care plans, discharge planning, and coordination of nursing services.
• Support safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures; ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.
