Job summary

Societe Generale is seeking a Leveraged Finance Managing Director in New York to lead relationships with private equity sponsors and oversee complex LBO financing mandates.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, drive marketing, and supervise due diligence, credit analysis, and structuring, while promoting cross-selling of capital markets, IPO/M&A, and core banking products to LBO clients.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in leveraged finance or investment banking.
• Established private equity sponsor relationships.
• Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and financial accounting concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams.
• Demonstrated work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Familiarity with credit documentation and the structuring of non-investment grade loan transactions.
• MBA is nice to have; Series 7/79 and Series 63 certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand relationships with private equity sponsors (principally within the TMT sector).
• Develop and maintain marketing material promoting SG CIB’s capabilities to secure new financing mandates and support pitches to clients and prospects.
• Assist in all aspects of transaction execution, notably due diligence, credit analysis, financial structuring, credit approval, drafting financing offers, and documentation.
• Cross sell capital markets, investment banking (IPO and M&A) and core banking products to LBO clients.
• Keep abreast of the market to maintain structuring skills in line with market developments.
• Contribute to any other tasks needed in the department's activity development.
