Job summary

The CUNY Creative Arts Team (CAT) at RFCUNY is seeking a full-time Associate Program Director for Learning Through Drama in New York City. The APD will support the Program Director, oversee eight to ten Actor Teachers and eighteen MSW apprentices, and ensure curriculum quality across NYC schools.

This role requires hands-on administration, scheduling, data management, and strong collaboration with school administrators and funders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years creating and implementing drama-in-education with young people.
  • At least 1 year in administration or education.
  • Expertise in drama education and strong communication.
  • Excellent administrative capabilities; prior youth work preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Director in planning and steering LTD programming.
  • Hire, train, and supervise eight to ten Actor Teachers and eighteen MSW interns.
  • Maintain relationships with 12–15 NYC public schools and regular communications with staff.
  • Develop and maintain data systems for program evaluation and funder reporting.
  • Represent CAT at meetings, conferences, and school site visits.
