Job summary

RFCUNY, located in New York, seeks an Associate Program Director for Learning Through Drama (LTD) to support the CAT program. You will assist the Program Director in planning, hiring eight to ten Actor Teachers, and managing eighteen MSW interns, while maintaining school relationships and ensuring curriculum quality.

You’ll be on-site across NYC schools, coordinate weekly meetings, develop systems for data collection, and contribute to funder audits and program development.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience creating and implementing original drama-in-education work with young people.
  • Minimum of one year in administration or education.
  • Expertise in drama education and ability to communicate about it.
  • Excellent administrative capabilities.
  • Previous work with young people.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and steering Learning Through Drama programming.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and managing about eight to ten Actor Teachers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with administrators and teachers at 12–15 NYC public high/middle schools.
  • Develop and maintain data collection and evaluation systems.
  • Coordinate up to eighteen MSW interns and supervise field experiences.
  • Schedule workshops to meet contractual obligations and educational goals.
  • Be on-site in schools regularly and support funder requirements.
  • Attend weekly CAT team meetings and Curriculum Lab sessions.
  • Assist in strategic planning and cross-unit collaboration.
  • Represent LTD at conferences and participate in staff meetings.
