Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group in Landisville, PA seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead lean manufacturing across facilities, develop world-class processes, and drive cost, quality, safety, lead time, and working capital improvements.

Responsibilities include leading teams to implement safe, lean manufacturing, coordinating with product, purchasing and operations, evaluating tools, budgeting, and nurturing a culture of trust and accountability while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years related experience, including 3+ years as an operations leader.
• Experience managing a P&L and lean manufacturing tools impact on the P&L.
• Knowledge of CNC fabrication, paint, assembly, and lean concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to develop safe, lean, highly efficient, world class manufacturing processes
• Support all company facility manufacturing teams to implement common manufacturing processes and share best practices
• Development/execution of project planning of significant projects at the various company sites
• Evaluate tools and equipment options that will reduce cost in the operation
• Seek approval for investments in machinery, equipment, and buildings to improve manufacturing/assembly operations
• Work with product teams, production control, purchasing, manufacturing to optimize factory efficiency
• Implement and support lean manufacturing principles such as visual controls, pull inventory systems, workplace organization
• Provide manufacturing technical support for production operations including tooling, fixturing and process troubleshooting
• Drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste in all facilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor project budgets and manage expenses within approved budgets
