Job description

Lead Laundry Attendant

Description:

Pay Rate: $19.00

Weekend Shift Differential: $2.00 an hour additional on Saturday and Sunday

SUMMARY: To assist supervisors with the day-to-day Hotel Laundry operations.

  1. Assist supervisors with staff training, direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
  2. Receive linen/towel shipments and complete monthly linen inventories.
  3. Maintain a working process to ensure maximum productivity.
  4. Organize the laundry room, maintain preventive maintenance records and schedule equipment maintenance.
  5. Ensure hotel landings are stocked at the beginning of each work day.
  6. Ensure proper usage of laundry chemicals.
  7. Assist other staff as needed, including cleaning hotel room.

IDEAL CANDIDATES HAVE:

Required:

  1. One (1) year laundry experience in a mid-sized, full-service hotel.
  2. High attention to detail and accuracy.
  3. High level organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  4. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Windows.
  5. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  6. Ability to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usage.

Preferred:

  1. Previous lead experience in a similar position.
