Job summary

Starting salary is $81,636; applicants must have a relevant science degree and forensic experience, with IAI latent prints certification required within six months of hire. Work hours: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Forensic Science or related field plus two years of forensic experience.
• Master's degree plus one year of forensic experience may substitute.
• Latent Print Unit requires IAI certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs independent scientific examinations in a specialized area of Forensics.
• Reviews case evaluations and provides technical assistance to staff.
• Receives, collects, preserves, and analyzes physical evidence for investigations.
• Tests materials using various methods, instruments, and imaging techniques.
• Documents findings in technical reports and-testifies as an expert witness when needed.
