Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication or related work.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret complex blueprints, job routings, and work instructions.
• Expertly set up and operate large presses to achieve quality parts and maximum production efficiency.
• Set up all types of complex tooling, including draws, forms, and progressive dies.
• Stage all required materials so production can begin without delay.
• Use dispatch displays to determine job priorities and next setups.
• Conduct root cause analysis on die or press issues and coordinate with toolroom and maintenance for repairs.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Inspect materials and finished parts for defects and verify compliance with specifications.
• Identify and label materials accurately using tags or labels.
• Perform routine mechanical maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Train and mentor Level I and II Set-Up Operators.
• Capture and document work instructions to ensure consistent setups and production runs.
• Accurately enter production and quality data into the company data collection system.
• Follow all established safety procedures and compliance guidelines.
