Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to support our Atlanta laboratory operations. The role involves handling data collection systems and equipment to ensure accurate test requests and billing across inpatient, outpatient, and institutional accounts.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens from inpatients and outpatients, and performing non-technical specimen processing and distribution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clinical training in an approved phlebotomy program or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in specimen collection/processing preferred or related healthcare experience.
• Phlebotomy Certification from a recognized program.
• Color-Acuity screening test required for all applicants.

Responsibilities

• Handle data collection systems and equipment to ensure lab test requests are properly ordered, cancelled, and charged.
• Perform specimen collection procedures for inpatients and outpatients.
• Carry out non-technical specimen processing and distribution of specimens.
