Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling, LLC in Oklahoma City is seeking a Lead Laboratory Engineer to drive the startup and commissioning of a new engineering and product development laboratory facility. You will lead the installation, qualification, and testing setups, and collaborate with Engineering, Facilities, and Leadership to build a world-class testing environment.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, HVACR knowledge, and experience with lab infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• HVACR knowledge and/or experience.
• Experience leading startup, expansion, relocation, or commissioning of a laboratory.
• Experience with facility improvements and laboratory infrastructure investments.

Responsibilities

• New Facility Development & Commissioning: lead startup and commissioning of a new lab facility; establish infrastructure and testing capabilities.
• Lead Test Lab Engineer: conduct thermodynamic tests per ANSI/ASHRAE/ISO standards; install instrumentation; design fixtures.
• Operations & Continuous Improvement: manage budgets, safety, throughput, and lab upgrades.
