Qualifications

• Accredited Nursing program is required.
• Florida RN license is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications; Fetal Heart Monitoring certification; NRP required for specified units.
• ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate required for RNs administering chemotherapy.
• Newly licensed RNs have 6 months to obtain ACLS and/or PALS and Fetal Monitoring if L&D.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of the assigned department, unit, or function.
• Oversees staff relations including performance management and satisfaction; handles scheduling and recruitment as needed.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and quality of patient care; assesses patient and family needs.
• Monitors equipment usage, supplies, and maintenance; supports goal setting aligned with the organization’s strategy.
