Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Lab Tech 3 for the First Shift (2am-10:30am, Monday-Friday) in Irving, TX. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen processing, testing, and clerical support, with interaction with patients, physicians, and lab staff.

Responsibilities include operating lab equipment, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with team members to ensure quality results while upholding safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Education - HS Diploma/GED Equivalent.
• Experience - 2 Years of Experience.
• Phlebotomy skills for all age groups.
• Effective communication with staff and customers.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy, processing, testing, and clerical support.
• Collects other specimens as needed.
• Communicates effectively with patients, physicians and staff.
• Sorts, labels and records specimens; prepares materials/equipment.
• Operates centrifuge, timers, and lab equipment to complete duties.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and supports projects.
