Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a Lab Tech 2 to receive and process specimens, perform clerical checks and support functions. May perform phlebotomy.

Responsibilities include routine lab procedures, sorting and labeling specimens, setting up for tests, operating centrifuges and timers, maintaining supplies, and collaborating with laboratory staff. The role supports ongoing projects and educational activities.

Competenze

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

Mansioni

• Conducts routine laboratory procedures where the range of possible errors is limited.
• Sorts, labels and records patient specimens. Set up specimen, material and equipment in preparation for Medical Technologist to perform test.
• Operates centrifuge, simplex timers, cell washer and other Laboratory equipment in completing assigned duties.
• Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Maintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.
• Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.
