Job summary

University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital is seeking a Lab Tech Specialist to assist the Clinical Laboratory Scientist with routine technical and clerical tasks. You will collect and process blood specimens, manage supplies, and support lab operations to ensure accurate and timely test results.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent with preferred Associate degree in biological sciences or chemistry.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in biological sciences, chemistry or equivalent preferred.
• Three years’ clinical lab experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy and lab procedures must meet CLIA Moderate Complexity standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Clinical Laboratory Scientist in performing technical and clerical lab duties.
• Collect, process, and distribute blood specimens for testing.
• Train new staff and manage Lab Tech schedules.
• Order and inventory phlebotomy supplies and ensure proper storage of specimens.
• Ensure adherence to lab policies and quality improvement programs.
