Job summary

Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lees Summit, MO is seeking a Lead Lab Support Technician to join our patient-focused laboratory team.

You will collect samples, document in LIS/EMR, and support testing workflows while mentoring staff. This is a full-time day-shift role with 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy Certification required or ASCP or HNA within 9 months of hire.
• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient samples per lab policy and regulatory standards.
• Document receipt of patient samples in LIS/EMR and prepare for analysis.
• Train new employees and precepts phlebotomy students.

Look no further than Saint Luke's!*** Collects patient samples using best practices for phlebotomy. Documents receipt of patient samples in Lab Information System (LIS) and prepares them for analysis. As a Lead LST, this individual has additional accountability for assigned administrative tasks or projects and serving as a role model for the LST group in the department. * FT - Days 3 12-hour shifts per week: 0700-1930 Week 1: Sunday, Monday Tuesday.
