Responsibilities

• Lead Lab Assistant assists management and coordinates duties of the work unit.
• Facilitate workflow by handling inventory, filing, stocking and rotating stock.
• Train and educate staff; maintain confidentiality.
• Perform pre-analytic specimen processing and operate lab/office equipment.
• Enter data and test orders; respond to inquiries about lab testing information.
• Ensure patient identification accuracy on specimens and documentation.
