Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical is hiring a skilled phlebotomy technician to oversee phlebotomy and specimen processing. The role requires serving as the technical expert in phlebotomy and coordinating lab activities to ensure safe, timely specimen collection.

The position is full-time with hours 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., M-F with alternating weekends and holidays, in Macon, GA. Hospital experience is preferred and CPT phlebotomy certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years phlebotomy or lab processing experience.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP/ASPT/NCA or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Oversee phlebotomy and specimen processing services.
• Serve as the technical expert in phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Coordinate phlebotomy and lab assistant activities to ensure timely, safe specimen collection and processing per established protocols.
