*Experienced Phlebotomist*
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Responsible for the oversight of phlebotomy and specimen processing services. Serves as the technical expert in phlebotomy and specimen collection. Coordinates phlebotomy and lab assistant activities to ensure timely, safe, efficient specimen collection and processing according to established collection protocols.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School graduate or GED
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two (2) years of phlebotomy experience and/or lab processor or lab assistant.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy required. Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is preferred. Experience working in a hospital preferred.
